Hiya, and welcome to the RPG section! If you already understand even the basics of RPG, feel free to skip this. This thread is pretty much just an intro to RPG. It'll explain a tiny bit about each board in the RPG section, and about RPG in general. SO if you already have a pretty godd idea about what to do and all, just don't even bother here! ^^;; Ok, sorry for rambling on. Here we go.
RPG stands for Role Playing Game. It's where a person in the real world acts out a character or characters, who than interact with other people playing other characters. Or once in a while even the same characters. To put it in much simpler terms, it's acting without actually 'seeing' the other actors, only what they type they do and say.
For example. We have member 1 acting out 'bob'. Member 2 is acting out 'jo'
Jo: Guess what!
Bob: what!
Jo: I just ate a bicycle!
Bob: *stares*
That's pretty much all there is to RPG, or at least RPGing on message boards, chat rooms, etc. RPG gmaes are a different story, that we won't discuss here. The basics of RPGing include talking, which doesn't have to and usually doesn't have quotes around it, actions, which are usually surrounded by *'s on each side, and the characters name, just so we don't get confused.

Easy enough, ne? Once you start RP, it'll all fit together, even if it seems to be confusing right now.
So, now we'll try to get you aquainted with each section of Tuning Harp's RPG section.
1: Rules. This part is right back in the direction you just came from. When you're done reading this, just click the back button and read through them real quick, please? The main reasons for the rules are just to keep everything running smoothly. If you have any suggestions or questions about them, please post them in the threads where they belong and not in the rules thread, ok? Thanx!
2:Character Registration. When you go back to them home page of the message boards and scroll down to the RPG area again, you'll see a section called Character Registration. Click on that, and create your own thread. Title the thread whatever you want. The whole purpose of the thread is where you post about your characters.
Note: The characters you register can be either your own made up ones OR ones from anime, books, movies, etc. It matters not. However, if they are from anime, etc, please tell us where they are from and try to keep their info as close as it really is as possible. Thank you!
Once you create your thread, go and feel free to register as many characters as you want. The information you NEED to tell us to get them registered is Name, Strengths, Weaknesses, and Weapons. However, feel free to also mention things such as background, age, likes, dislikes, height, weight, gender, etc. Feel free to add whatever you want about your character besdies the required stuff.
Once you tell us about your character, a moderator or admin will try to get to you in a week or less and tell you about whether your character has been ok'ed or if not, why not. If it takes over a wek, feel free to ask a moderator (of the RPG board, please) why it's taken so long. If you ask a moderator of a different section, they won't be able to help you, as ONLY moderators of the RPG section are allowed to ok a character.
Note: In case of a disagreement between two moderators over a character, they'll contact an admin to figure it out. If a moderator and an admin disagree over a character, the admin will get say over what happens.
If your character is ok'ed it should appear on the REGISTERED CHARACTERS thread in a week or less. If it doesn't, by that time the person who didn't ok it should PM you and tell you why.
